Overview
RealNex Insights is a visual analytics layer inside the RealNex CRM. It pulls from your CRM data to deliver five pre-built dashboards (one per CRM table) so you can see your book, your pipeline, and your market without exporting to Excel.
Where to find each dashboard:
- Properties dashboard: opened from the Properties table in the CRM. Has its own Properties and Spaces pages.
- Projects dashboard: opened from the Projects table. Pages: Active Projects, Closed Projects, Commissions, Leads.
- Activities dashboard: opened from the Dashboard Events table. Pages: Activity, Commissions.
- Lease Comps dashboard: opened from the Lease Comps table. Pages: Market Overview, Tenants & Landlords, Lease Rollover.
- Sale Comps dashboard: opened from the Sale Comps table. Pages: Market Overview, Buyers & Sellers, Holding Period.
Prerequisites
Before opening a RealNex Insights dashboard, you need:
- An active RealNex CRM subscription with RealNex Insights activated on your account
- A modern browser (Chrome, Edge, Safari, or Firefox)
- CRM permissions configured for the records you expect to see (RealNex Insights respects your CRM row-level security)
Open a dashboard
Step 1: Sign in to RealNex CRM
Open RealNex in your browser and sign in to your CRM as you normally would. RealNex Insights works on any browser and any device that can load the CRM, including iPad.
Step 2: Open the table for the dashboard you want
Each dashboard is launched from its corresponding CRM table:
- Want the Projects dashboard? Open the Projects table.
- Want the Properties dashboard? Open the Properties table.
- Same pattern for Lease Comps and Sale Comps.
- For Activities, open the Dashboard Events table
From inside the table, launch the RealNex Insights dashboard for that table.
Step 3: Land on the first dashboard page
When the dashboard opens, the first dashboard page loads by default. For example, the Projects dashboard opens directly to Active Projects, with Start Here, Closed Projects, Commissions, and Leads available across the top.
Click Start Here any time you want the reference layer for that dashboard. It explains the visuals, the use cases, and the questions that come up most often.
What each dashboard helps you do
Properties dashboard
Two pages, each tuned to a different transaction type:
- Properties. Built for sales transaction work. Reads total properties, total SqFt, total acres, average building age, and units per property, sliced by location, sub-market, property type, and acreage. Use it to see where your inventory sits, where the value is concentrated, and which markets to lean on for sales prospecting.
- Spaces. Built for lease transaction work. Reads total spaces SqFt, owner-occupied SqFt, usable SqFt, and average take rate, with under-construction inventory by submarket, current occupancy by submarket, and rental rate by submarket. Use it to see where leasable inventory is, what is occupied, and where take rates are softening or holding.
Projects dashboard
Pipeline, closed deals, commissions, and leads on separate pages. The anchor dashboard for Monday pipeline reviews and leadership rollups. See The five dashboards, explained for the page-by-page walkthrough.
Activities dashboard
A holistic view of every logged activity across the CRM (calls, meetings, emails, others), plus a Commissions page tied to event-level commission activity.
Lease Comps and Sale Comps dashboards
Closed lease and closed sale activity across your firm’s comp database, with market overview, participant views, lease rollover, and holding-period analysis.
What changes for you
RealNex Insights is an additive layer on top of the CRM. Your CRM workflows do not change. A few things are worth knowing on day one:
- Refresh is daily. Dashboards refresh once a day. Always check the timestamp in the top-right of any dashboard for the day-of refresh time.
- Filters are independent. Filters in RealNex Insights and filters in the CRM do not cross-sync. Filters also reset when you switch between dashboard pages.
- Security is row-level. You see exactly the records your CRM permissions allow. Superusers see the full account.
- Custom CRM reports still apply. RealNex Insights does not replace your custom reports. Use both.
- Dashboards reflect your fields as they are used today. If your account has repurposed system fields over time, or has not adopted system fields released over the last two years, your dashboards may show anomalies or gaps.
Additional Options
Use it on any device
RealNex Insights runs in any browser on any device, including iPad. There is no separate install. The CRM mobile app does not host RealNex Insights; open RealNex in your device’s browser instead.
Get help when something looks off
If your dashboards look different from what you expect, two paths cover most cases:
- Read Why your dashboards may look different for the most common reasons and the fix path.
- Sign up for a RealNex Insights group office-hours call. We walk through your fields together and show you the move.
Tips and Best Practices
- Start with the Projects dashboard. The Active Projects page answers the most common Monday question: where is my pipeline. It is the fastest way to feel the value.
- Use Start Here as your first stop. Each dashboard’s Start Here tab answers the questions that come up first. Read it before reaching for support.
- Match the page to the deal type. On the Properties dashboard, run sales workflows on the Properties page and lease workflows on the Spaces page.
- Hit Create Comp on every closing Project. The comp you create on close feeds the Lease Comps and Sale Comps dashboards. Disciplined CRM usage makes the next pitch sharper.
